A Gateway to Jamaica
Trelawney bridges Jamaica and Africa through storytelling, culture and a carefully curated collection of distinctive Jamaican products. From cigars, chocolate and coffee to rum and tea, we share expressions of the island’s craftsmanship, creativity and character. Beyond our collection, Trelawney celebrates Jamaican artisans, music, designers and artists, creating a gateway into the richness of Jamaica, its history, its people and its future.
Our Story
Trelawney began as a personal journey. After moving to Kenya in 2024, our founder was struck by the depth of affection for Jamaica and its culture, while also recognising how much of the island remained unfamiliar beyond its most celebrated names and sounds. That discovery inspired a desire to share a fuller picture of Jamaica: its people, history, creativity, culture and the qualities that have given the island an influence far beyond its size.
The name Trelawney carries that personal connection. It comes from the Jamaican parish where our founder’s mother was born. With Jamaica as home and Africa long regarded as a spiritual home, Trelawney grew from a personal project into a platform for creating deeper connections between Jamaica, Kenya and the wider African continent.
